FateLab
Terms of Use
Last updated 27 September 2026. The same text as in the app: Settings → Terms of Use.
These terms govern your use of FateLab. By using the app you agree to them.
Your licence
FateLab grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial journaling.
Subscriptions
The FateLab subscription is an auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. You manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
FateLab is not professional advice
FateLab's reflections, prompts, and AI responses (including Coach and the Mirror) are for personal reflection only. They are not medical, psychological, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. Do not rely on FateLab in an emergency.
Your content
Everything you write in FateLab is yours. You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups (you can export at any time). We claim no ownership of what you write.
Acceptable use
Don't use FateLab for anything unlawful, and don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the synthesis service or its rate limits.
Disclaimer and liability
FateLab is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. AI-generated text may be inaccurate or incomplete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FateLab and its makers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a revised date. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
